When is a dog considered senior? A dog’s old age is not defined by an exact age, but rather based on certain signs of aging:

Preventively, it is recommended to start feeding the dog a biologically appropriate and diverse diet (e.g., SANADOG) as early as middle age to reduce the occurrence of age-related changes. It is also known that dogs fed conventional industrial pet food all their lives often suffer early on from heart, kidney, liver, or thyroid diseases, as well as diabetes or obesity.
