Our lamb horns come from free-range, grass-fed lambs. After collection, they are soaked in hot water, cleaned and polished to remove sharp edges, and then carefully dried. Lamb horns consist of very durable keratin and last for weeks or even months (depending on the dog’s size and interest). This makes them especially suitable for anxious dogs with a strong chewing need, as intensive chewing releases a lot of endorphins. This helps your dog feel happy and calm.
As they are low in fat but rich in protein, calcium and phosphorus, they do not significantly affect the dog’s weight but support healthy bone and muscle development.
Tip: you can fill the ends of the horn with anything your dog likes – tasty dog paste, meat filling, wet food, etc. The possibilities are endless! It is a great and affordable way to teach proper chewing behaviour. Instead of leaving behind a nutritionally worthless synthetic toy after the filling is gone, the empty horn can serve as an additional reward after training and play.
