This set includes 5 toys that combine two plants that stimulate a cat’s sense of smell: bitter actinidia and catnip. Often, certain smells do not work for cats, so using two smells increases the chances that a cat will be interested. However, all cats have different senses of smell, so it is possible that your cat will lick the toy, roll around on the floor, purr, or not pay any attention to it at all. You won’t know until you try.
The central part of the toy is a tree branch, which can crumble, dry out, or crack over time. However, many cats love the smell of actinidia. After playing with the toy, it is a good idea to put it back in a resealable bag to preserve the smell. The smell will evaporate quickly if left exposed to air. To refresh the branch, you can scrape it with a knife to release a new scent. In addition to the tree branch, the toy contains compressed catnip, which is another attractive scent for cats. It looks similar to green tea leaves, so it is also possible that some of it will fall onto the floor.
