This slows down eating and promotes better chewing. It is also a fun mental challenge that keeps pets engaged and entertained.
With the drawstring, the mat can be tightened to make it smaller or used as a bowl. The bottom of the mat is non-slip, preventing it from moving while the pet searches for treats.
Eating too quickly or gulping food can cause several health issues, such as obesity (food is not digested properly), gastric torsion and bloating (due to swallowing air). The snuffle mat helps reduce or prevent these problems.
Instructions for use:
Use the mat to serve the daily portion of dry food or to offer treats. Sprinkle food or treats onto the mat and allow the dog or cat to search for them. If desired, use the drawstring to make the mat smaller to provide an additional challenge.
