Catnip toys stimulate a cat’s sense of smell!
The fact that the toy is also in the shape of a fish makes it especially exciting for the cat! The set includes 5 different toys, each about 20 cm long.
Catnip, or catmint, is a plant that is dried, crushed, and then added to the toy’s filling. There are different plants that stimulate cats, and catnip is one of them. Which one works for your cat can only be found out through experimentation.
Since the scent of catnip is not eternal, it is possible to refresh the toy if desired. After playing with the cat, it is possible to put the toy in a minigrip bag, where it is airtight and has a longer lifespan. If you think the smell is gone by then, don’t throw the toy away.
If the cat doesn’t want to play with it just like that, it is possible to buy catnip powder separately. It is poured, for example, into a 3-liter jar, the toy is thrown in, and the jar is closed. The toy is shaken together with the powder and left in the jar for a few hours to absorb the smell. Take the toy out and it has been given a new life. In this way, you can scent all sufficiently small cat toys and make life more exciting. If catnip does not work for your cat, you can also try valerian and bitter actinidia powder.
A playing cat is a happy cat!

Why is play important to cats?
By playing with your cat, you bring them a lot of joy and also they develop the skills they need for survival and life overall. Catching prey is an instinctive activity for cats. Chasing the toy, they use up a lot of energy – it helps keep their weight, health and mental work sharp.
